Students at the Malawi University of Science and Technology have gone without water since Friday. A power failure, attributed to low voltage at the Southern Region Water Board, knocked out the pumping system at the Ndata campus. Patience Zamar Phiri, president of the students' representative council, said on Sunday that frustration over living conditions was building. Three days on, the taps were still dry.
