A fire broke out on the morning of 27 October at the psychiatry department of the Reșița County Emergency Hospital, located in the second building of the complex. The blaze forced the evacuation of sixteen patients from the ward. One patient sustained burns and required medical treatment. Emergency responders contained the incident and attended to the injured. The event highlighted safety concerns within the hospital's psychiatric facilities.
