Political and civil society organizations in Italy have called for demonstrations in several cities. Rallies are scheduled for today in Turin, Rome, Milan, Sassari, Catania, Florence, Genoa, and Cassino. Participants are demanding that the Italian government vote against the United States blockade of Cuba. This vote is expected to take place tomorrow at the United Nations.
