The CCPC has issued a reminder to shops regarding their obligation to display prices for paper bags. The consumer watchdog stated that customers should not be surprised by these costs at the till. People should also avoid discovering these charges only after seeing their receipts.
The CCPC has said consumers should not ‘be put on the spot at the till to pay for shopping bags or notice it afterwards on their receipts’.
