President Abelardo De La Espriella joined a large-scale police operation in Medellín. The mission involved more than 100 raids. At least 60 people were arrested during the process. Activities started at 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27. The operation targeted networks involved in extortion and homicide. Authorities also focused on theft and narcotics trafficking.
