Prosecutors presented dozens of documents in court on Tuesday regarding spending at the Caribbean Maritime University. The evidence shows that former President Professor Fritz Pinnock approved payments totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. These funds went to Kim Brown Lawrence, a councillor aligned with the Jamaica Labour Party. The payments were intended for the supply and delivery of meals for students in an intervention programme.
Prosecutors on Tuesday tendered into evidence dozens of documents showing that former Caribbean Maritime University (CMU) President Professor Fritz Pinnock authorised hundreds of thousands of dollars in payments to Jamaica Labour Party-aligned councillor Kim Brown Lawrence to “supply and deliver meals for students” enrolled in an intervention programme.
