A special anti‑corruption unit of the higher public prosecutor’s office in Novi Sad issued an arrest order. On 28 October, the head of the city administration for economy, identified as S.B., was taken into custody. He is accused of an aggravated criminal act involving negligent performance of duties. The arrest follows claims that the alleged misconduct caused budget damage exceeding 80 million.
