Texas has received the first shipment of Venezuelan oil under a deal between the United States and Nabep. The agreement was announced in August. It gives Nabep rights for one hundred years to drill in 17 oil fields. These fields hold about 65 billion barrels of crude oil. This amount represents roughly one fifth of the reserves in Venezuela.
