Durban sea rescuer Marvin Phillips has saved his fifth person from drowning. Friends of Phillips have since launched a fundraiser to help him open a free swim school in South Durban. He describes the rescue work in deeply personal terms, saying he felt it was his calling. The planned school would offer swimming lessons at no cost to people in the area.
