In Braunau, the Austrian People’s Party, the Social Democratic Party, the Freedom Party and the Greens each nominated a candidate for the mayoral race. An independent voter list also put forward its own candidate. All five candidates will compete for the office of mayor. The contest reflects a broad political spectrum represented in the local election.
