The Chamber of Deputies held a special session regarding the reduction of sentences for those convicted of sexual crimes. Justice Minister Fernando Rabat was invited to participate in the proceedings. Rabat claimed that more than 40 of the 56 people who benefited had already gone to court. These legal actions occurred before he signed the decrees.
