South Korea's media and telecommunications regulator ordered Google and Apple to pay combined fines of 63.7 billion won. This amount equals approximately 42.7 million euros. The penalties result from violations of competition rules within their app stores. The Korean Media and Communication Commission issued a specific fine of 42.9 billion won, or about 28.7 million euros, to one of the companies.
