Spirit Airlines had Airbus planes that were intended to serve for many more decades. Some of these aircraft are now parked in the Arizona desert with an uncertain future. Others have already been sent to scrap yards. Workers first disassembled these planes for spare parts before scrapping them. This happened even though some of the aircraft were only a few years old.
Airbusy americké letecké společnosti Spirit Airlines měly sloužit ještě desítky let. Některé z nich však dnes stojí odstavené v arizonské poušti a jejich další osud je nejistý. Jiné už skončily na vrakovišti, kde je pracovníci nejprve rozebrali na náhradní díly a následně sešrotovali. Přitom šlo o letadla stará pouhých několik let.
