Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović stated that the country seeks the best possible relations with Croatia. He clarified that these relations must not come at the cost of state dignity. Milatović argued that Montenegro's European path should not be used to resolve bilateral issues if it harms state interests. He noted that the responsibility for negotiations with Croatia lies entirely with the Government of Montenegro.
