A study from West Virginia University in the USA examined the link between parental behavior and adolescent self-control. Researchers analyzed 213 teenagers and their parents to identify patterns in behavior. The findings suggest that a parent's ability to resist immediate temptations for long-term goals affects their children. Self-control in adolescents can be significantly influenced by how parents manage their own conduct.
