A network of tunnels and rooms exists at least 18 meters beneath the streets of Liverpool. These structures were carved out more than two centuries ago. For a long time, the reason for their construction remained unknown. Volunteers have been working to bring these spaces to light. They now believe they have discovered an explanation for why they were built. The tunnels are linked to an eccentric owner known as the Mole of Edge Hill.
