Natural gas from Natuna is flowing to Batam through the West Natuna Transportation System (WNTS)-Pemping pipeline. The gas supports the electricity needs of the PLN Batam power plant. According to the report, priority is given to domestic electricity supply, meaning the gas sent to Batam is reserved above all for power generation at home.
