The Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department has started using a tiered burial method. This practice is taking place at the Raudhatul Sakinah Islamic Cemetery in Kepong. Two deceased individuals from Hospital Kuala Lumpur who had no heirs were the first to be buried this way. The goal of this new method is to optimize the available space at the cemetery.
