Tensions erupted during a plenary session in Parliament after the opposition blocked the podium. Sali Berisha, leader of the Democratic Party, took the floor under the pretense of discussing procedure. Instead, he spoke about violence against protesters. He accused the majority of using tear gas and rubber bullets. Niko Peleshi subsequently revoked his right to speak for the session, stating he was calling for violence.
