An open letter defending the right to protest was sent to the Presidency of the Republic. The letter was launched on October 24 and initially carried around two hundred signatures. Signatories include lawyers, legal scholars, law students, and other justice professionals. The document was a reaction to police dispersing tent protests for housing rights in Lisbon and Porto.
Carta, inicialmente com cerca de duas centenas de assinaturas de advogados, juristas, estudantes de Direito e outros profissionais da Justiça, foi lançada a 24 de outubro, em reação à dispersão pela PSP de manifestações com tendas em Lisboa e no Porto pelo direito à habitação.
