Samir Vani leads business development for the company in the region. MediaTek now wants to expand into high-end devices. Their current goals include satellite alerts and AI-powered PCs. They are working with NVIDIA to achieve these goals.
“El mercado latinoamericano tiene su centro de gravedad en el segmento medio, y hace años decidimos poner ahí nuestra mayor inversión en ingeniería”, dice Samir Vani, director de Desarrollo Comercial de MediaTek Latinoamérica. La taiwanesa asegura controlar el 41% del mercado chileno de smartphones y ahora apunta a la gama alta, las alertas satelitales y los PC con IA junto a NVIDIA.
