Energy Minister Dumitru Chisăliță has asked European partners for support in the project to retechnologize Unit 1 at the Cernavodă nuclear power plant. The request comes while the unit is being evaluated by the European Commission. The appeal was made against the backdrop of an in-depth investigation the Commission has opened. Romania is now looking for outside backing to push the modernization of Unit 1 forward.
