Police spokesperson Abinarayan Kaflé issued a statement saying the police organisation remains committed and responsible for maintaining public safety, peace and order, controlling crime and ensuring the security of citizens' lives and property. The statement also warned that action will be taken against those who try to drag the police force into controversy and use it to play against the government. According to the spokesperson, investigations will be launched into such attempts.
