QatarEnergy is purchasing liquefied natural gas from the United States and other suppliers. This move is intended to protect the company from potential local closures of the Strait of Hormuz. CEO Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi stated that this trading and arbitrage strategy will create revenue if exports through the strait are interrupted in the future.
