Minister of Economic Transformation says Maya Island Air to commence air connectivity in Southern Belize
Minister of Economic Transformation Osmond Martinez announced that Maya Island Air will start providing flight services to and from Punta Gorda. This decision follows concerns regarding air connectivity in Southern Belize. The government of Belize held negotiations with the airline to resolve these issues. The new air connectivity services will begin on November 1, 2026.
