Fabrizio Favara, the CEO of Iryo, testified before the Spanish Senate about railway failures. He stated that the LZB system was the most frequent problem reported by drivers on the Madrid-Seville line. These warnings were given 23 days before a train accident in Urda. The system was scheduled for replacement by early 2026. This replacement work remains unfinished.
