A pilot project involving telemedicine was tested for two years at the Liebigstraße senior center in Linz. This initiative allowed doctors to conduct visits remotely, which reduced the need for residents to undergo difficult transport. The system proved effective for the elderly participants. Plans are now underway to expand the project further.
