A representative from Ahvaz warned that the livelihood of 1.7 million workers is at risk after some production and industrial units in border and industrial areas stopped operating. He said consultations with the government point to the need for emergency funding and monthly support for workers. That support should be adjusted to inflation and the cost of a livelihood basket.
