On the eve of the Pope’s visit to Argentina, the newspaper Clarín organized an interreligious gathering titled Valores Religiosos. The event brought together senior representatives of the country’s main faiths and scholars of religion. Participants discussed the challenges currently facing religious communities in Argentina. The forum was described as unprecedented in its scope and dialogue. Organizers hoped the discussion would move beyond tolerance toward cooperation among the different traditions.
