The wreck of the Canadian steamship Kornvolis has been discovered at a depth of nearly 120 meters. A German submarine sank the vessel in December 1944. Only five people survived the event out of a total of 48. The discovery was announced by the Nomad Exploration research team. The ship remained hidden for more than 80 years before being found.
