The Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Timor-Leste has issued industrial and commercial licenses to 174 companies. These licenses were granted using a new digital registration system. The system was first launched in March 2026. Elias de Jesus, the Director-General of Commerce, explained that the goal of the digital management system is to facilitate the licensing process.
