Subsecretary Silva addressed the signing of sentence reductions. He stated that these actions followed criteria established by Minister Rabat. Silva argued that the state must take responsibility and correct errors when it fails. He clarified that granting the reductions was not a personal decision made by him or the minister.
“Cuando el Estado falla, no basta con explicar, hay que hacerse cargo, corregir”, sostuvo la autoridad del Ministerio de Justicia, tras asegurar que “otorgar la rebaja no es una decisión personal ni del ministro (Fernando Rabat) ni mía”.
