The prime minister's coalition was the most voted force in the recent elections. However, they did not reach the 61 seats required to control the Knesset on their own. President Isaac Herzog will receive the final results of the vote. He will then start consultations with various parties. The goal is to name a person to try and gather enough support to form a government.
