The Ministry of Employment reports that the poverty rate in Uzbekistan fell from 5.8 percent to 3.6 percent over nine months. During this time, 824 thousand citizens found permanent jobs. Efforts helped increase the income of 4.1 million people. Additionally, 980 thousand citizens had their informal employment legalized.
