Željko Kukurin, the head of Valamara Management, explained the vision for the Pical hotel. The goal was to create a resort with a strong local identity. Inspiration for the project was drawn from Istria and the Parenzana. This railway symbolically connects one culture across three different countries. The management aimed for an open resort concept. They believe this approach is ideal for tourism in Croatia.
