The government proposes to end duty-free imports for specific goods including cheese, yogurt, cream, and chocolate by the end of 2026. While most of the 56 types of consumer goods would see their zero-rate status extended for another year, these specific items would lose their preference. Members of the public council for entrepreneurship criticized this proposal. They argued that imposing customs duties on these products will lead to higher prices. This price increase would place an added financial burden on the population.
