Morocco's National Office for Food Safety, ONSSA, has unveiled an integrated and unprecedented strategy to protect the country's date palm resources. The strategy is being implemented under the 2020-2030 Green Generation plan and was announced as attention turns to the 15th International Date Forum in Erfoud. Rather than starting with boxes of dates in the market, the approach begins with the roots of the palm tree and work in the laboratory, according to the report.
