Fish trust tasked to open three community markets
The Namibian Fish Consumption Promotion Trust must establish at least three community fish markets. This initiative aims to make fish more affordable and accessible, especially for people in rural areas. Deputy minister Ruthy Masake announced this during the inauguration of a new board of trustees in Windhoek. Masake stated the markets should serve communities that currently struggle to find affordable fish. She expects the board to prioritize these markets based on feasibility assessments and resource availability.
