Gazmend Hoxha resigned as the General Director of the Kosovo Police on October 30. His resignation comes five days after the killing of Arlinda Zekajt. That event led to protests and calls for institutional accountability. When asked by Radio Free Europe, Hoxha confirmed his action was related to the resignation.
