Charles Leclerc recorded the fastest time during the first free practice session for the Mexican Grand Prix. The Ferrari driver finished well ahead of the second-place driver, Kimi Antonelli. Max Verstappen did not drive his own car as planned. Instead, his vehicle was handed over to rookie Ayumu Iwasa.
