Rebeca Grynspan remains the lead candidate for the UN secretary general position despite a new competitor. Lanna Nusseibeh, a candidate from the Emirates, struggled in her first informal vote. Nusseibeh received only 7 out of 15 votes, leaving her far behind Grynspan.
