An ICE immigration enforcement officer named Mario Alberto Morales has been charged with assault. Prosecutors say he intentionally drove his vehicle into a Mexican laborer named Miguel Parra Hernández. The alleged collision occurred during a pursuit, according to the indictment. Witnesses reported that the officer struck both of the victim’s legs. The case will be processed through the federal criminal system. Authorities have not disclosed whether Morales remains on duty.
