Dmitry Svishchev, a member of the State Duma committee on physical culture and sports, hopes the International Ice Hockey Federation will quickly put the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s decision into practice. The CAS ruling allows the Russian national team to compete in international events. Svishchev stressed it is important that the IIHF not resist the decision, saying hockey cannot be imagined without Russian athletes.
