Opposition deputies argued that the resignation of Luis Silva from the Justice Subsecretariat does not protect the minister Rabat. They called the move insufficient and demanded that the Justice minister step down. Silva’s exit was announced a day after a Republican posted a video saying he followed the criteria set by Minister Rabat to sign decrees. The deputies said the minister must answer for the alleged misuse of authority.
