Accountability Watch Committee (AWC) has expressed serious objection to and condemned incidents of police intervention involving the arrest and detention of journalists and obstruction of the exercise of press freedom. In a statement from Kathmandu on 14 Kartik, the committee described such police interference as an attack on democracy itself.
