A man known as the King of the Sea was convicted in the United States. He acted as the leader of a drug trafficking network. This organization was linked to the husband of the mayor of Zacapa. He coordinated the movement of cocaine across the Pacific Ocean. The drugs traveled from South America to Guatemala and Mexico. From there, the shipments were sent into the United States.
