Transsemenic is a mountain highway that links the towns of Caransebeș and Reșița. The route winds through some of the most picturesque landscapes of the Banat Mountains. It follows the historic tracks once used by the Pemi colonists. Along the way, the road runs beside several villages that have been converted into holiday resorts. Travelers can reach a number of alpine lakes directly from the highway. The road also serves as the main access point to the Semenic ski and spa resort.
