The Penang government hopes that the Golden Bride and Groom Program will encourage residents to marry. This initiative provides financial support of RM500. It was announced as part of the Penang State Budget 2027. There is no age limit for those applying for this assistance. People who marry later in life are still eligible for the program.
BATU KAWAN: Kerajaan Pulau Pinang berharap, Program Mempelai Emas yang julung kali menyediakan sokongan kewangan sebanyak RM500 seperti diumumkan menerusi Belanjawan Negeri Pulau Pinang 2027 dapat menggalakkan rakyat negeri ini mendirikan rumah tangga.
