Hawks officer Deena Govender has approached the Durban High Court to challenge a search-and-seizure warrant. The warrant was issued by the IPID and led to the seizure of devices. Govender is asking the court to set the warrant aside. She claims the legal action was based on false information. She also alleges there were material inconsistencies in the basis for the search.
