On 16 October, the Union of Portuguese‑speaking Capital Cities (UCCLA) organized an event in Lisbon. The occasion was the launch of a new book written by a Mozambican author. The title of the work is Mahanyela: A Vida na Periferia da Grande Cidade de Ka Mpfumo, Lourenço Marques, Maputo. The author, Nely Nyaka, is identified as a writer from Mozambique. The book depicts personal family memories and the solidarity of local communities. It also examines historical and social changes that have occurred in Mozambique.
